Today you are going to have a go at writing your own rhyming couplets (two words that rhyme) about junk and putting them together to write your own poem. 

Reading 

Read the new text for English ready for next week. Think about any words that you don't understand and look up some of the meanings. If you also want to get a head start and start learning the text, that would be great!
